Inez & Vinoodh Shoot an Amazing Film for Dior at Versailles


 Dior Short Film at Versailles: The world of fashion is very competitive. And even if you an old and established label like Dior you have to be on your toes all the time to stay ahead of competition and retain your customer base. They have released a short film the Secret Garden to showcase their newest collection. Fashion industry requires all the players to be very agile as it has to keep adapting to constant change. The industry is full of creative minds and glamour and you really have to be out of the ordinary to catch the attention of your potential customers.


The Team Has Created Iconic Campaigns for Fashion Brands

This film Secret Garden does just that. The film has been made by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, a team that has challenged and inspired the field of fashion photography. They are working as a team since 1986 and have harnessed the latest digital imaging technologies to capture the imagination of art critics. In the past they have created iconic advertising campaigns for leading fashion and fragrance brands. They have lived up to their reputation and delivered another masterpiece in the form of the Secret Garden. The way they have integrated a great song by Depeche Mode, stunning designs by Dior, beautiful models and the luxurious Versailles Palace and its gardens is simply breathtaking.


You Hope the Journey Through the Garden Would Never End

It is a 3 minute and 41 second film and showcases the look of the Fall 2012 collection. The film starts with model Daria Strokous inviting you to follow her on a wondrous path that winds through the Galerie des Glaces. It is a beautiful journey you hope would never end as it passes through the palace’s endless interconnecting salons. Fellow models Melissa Stasiuk and Xiao Wen Ju join her on the way. It’s a dreamlike fashion show as the Versailles is transformed into Christian Dior’s secret garden. The background and the location couldn’t have been better as it is the embodiment of luxury and beauty. Robert Lussier & Mia Forsgren have worked on the film as creative directors.
