Treat Yourself This New Year With a Louis Vuitton Monogram Mettis Bag

Image
Louis Vuitton bags are considered the epitome of style and luxury all over the world. They have transformed their logo into a decorative design. No other luxury brand can claim the fame that the Louis Vuitton logo enjoys. Its popularity can be grasped from the innumerable knock-offs that are available in the market of Louis Vuitton purse, Louis Vuitton belts etc, all carrying that insignia. For the coming year, the luxury fashion house has launched a brand new range christened, Monogram Metis. The bags from this range will be available in the Louis Vuitton stores from January onwards. It is basically a canvas bag, but it has been designed in such a way so as to allow the owner to wear it in three different ways.  You can hold it in your hand, carry it slung over your shoulder or across your body. The bag as usual has the LV monogram all over it, giving it a classy look. The traditional S-lock buckle in gold adds that extra touch of style. The luxury brand will also launch a smal...

Small Bags are Back in Vogue

Image
If you were tired of lugging huge bags all the time to work and looking like a walking office yourself, take heart. The new fashion trends reveal that small bags and clutches may come in vogue again and you may not have to carry the huge bags ever again. Of course, this is based on the new design trends that were noticed on the runways and it would be a great way to make sure that you are carrying less, and also making sure that you are in fashion. Robert Burke, who runs the famous New York luxury consulting firm, revealed that the consumers strive to look more carefree these days, and that means that a lot of them would rather go ahead and get something that would make it easier for them to carry stuff. The bags are expected to generate sales to the tune of $10.3 billion and that is a huge amount if you asked me. Brands such as Louis Vuitton would sell small bags for around $14,000 now and thus small doesn’t exactly mean cheap. Women on the other hand would have something new to...

The shared passion for creativity between Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama and Louis Vuitton’s creative director Marc Jacobs resulted in visually stimulating art. Kusama and Louis Vuitton will collaborate on several artworks which are going to be showcased in Bond Street Maison’s exhibition space. Those who are big fans of polka dots might be excited to get a first released collection. as I’m a great admirer of red/white combination influenced by Minnie Mouse, I find it very difficult to wait till July 10th of 2012. The debut collection known as ‘infinitely Kusuma’ would be released earlier to the art exhibition displayed by Yayoi Kusama at Whitney museum in New York City. The customers need not worry about their collection which will be arrived in second release in stores in October. Louis Vuitton sure knows how to get the right person to be its face. Earlier, luxury-icons and celebrities like Bono, Sean Connery, Keith Richards and Catherine Deneuve have been the Louis Vuitton’s faces, and this time around, it is Angelina Jolie who would be the face of their latest campaign titled ‘Core Values’. The campaign was shot by Annie Leibovitz and the first ad from the campaign features Angelina Jolie sitting on a wooden boat somewhere in Cambodia. Of course, she has a Louis Vuitton bag over her shoulders and looks as fashionable as ever with her dark hair. In fact, until recently she was spotted with blonde hair, and Angelina doesn’t look bad in dark hair either. LV sure knows how to rope in the best celebrities for their ad campaigns. While Angie sure is a global symbol of humanitarian efforts, adoptions, fight against racism and a bit of glamour thrown in, Louis Vuitton might have chosen her as she is also the U.N. Goodwill Ambassador for many causes. He...

Practically all the major global brands recorded healthy growth and have sustained the momentum this year.  But there have been subtle changes in the consumer behavior and his attitude. America and Europe disapprove of conspicuous consumption. Flaunting is not considered cool anymore. There is a growing concern about the origin of a product. The awareness about the impact of a luxury product on the environment has increased. The focus is more on craftsmanship. The appreciation for the skills involved in the creation of a product is much higher today. Anything mass produced becomes cheap. The world today is flooded with mass produced goods. Bespoke attention to individuality has become the ultimate luxury. The 2011 Brand Report released by the global research agency Millward Brown reveals some encouraging trend. Apparel industry increased its sales by 10%.  The luxury industry was even...
