Repurposed Fastener Accessories

Image
These unusual jewelry pieces by Zipper Design are made out of recycled old clothing. The zippers are taken off and remade into vintage rings, brooches, bracelets and rings that come in a variety of different colors. The pieces are truly distinctive and the fact that they are environmentally friendly makes it that much cooler. This jewelry line is catered towards an older segment of the population, and are definitely conversation pieces. The idea of using recycled materials and turning them into new products is on the rise. As we become more concerned with pollution and the effects of excessive waste, companies that can find innovative ways to efficiently manufacture and produce attractive consumer products will have an upper-hand.

Passing through Petra, Burckhardt pretended he had little interest in the heathen monuments around him – but his guides caught him admiring the ruins and, suspecting that he was a treasure robber, hastened their journey.
