The spectacular diamond jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II will achieve its climax, when the 1,000-strong flotilla will sail on the river Thames on 3 rd June. The organizers will produce the biggest river pageant on the Thames. The queen’s ceremonial boat with the royal family will be viewed by a million spectators. The seven mile long flotilla will finish its three hour travel in the midst of music. Her highness has chosen the closest confidants than foreign dignitaries, politicians and world leaders to join her. She has selected the most worthy family members, courtiers and a few closest friends.  The Queen, seated on a throne on the deck of  the Spirit of Chartwell, will be joined by the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. Brussels is hosting a year-long food festival Brusselicious 2012 and Dinner in the Sky is moving into Belgium’s capital as the highlight of the event. Residents and tourists alike will be able to enjoy Michelin star dinner while suspended in a gondola 30 meters above the ground. The spectacular dining experience will be launched on June 4 and will run through till July 1. The diners opting for the experience need to be brave as they will be having their heads in the clouds and will be looking over Brussels. They should not be afraid of heights. Dinner in the Sky is managing the event for which they will create a floating restaurant platform suspended by a crane and the crane will be stationed at one of four key tourist sites in the city so that the views from the top are breath taking. We are back to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. It is making all the news around the world, especially in London. No stone has been left unturned to ensure that the Queen enters the 60 th year of her reign with a lot of pomp and splendour. Hotels have planned everything from high teas to divine luncheons and royal packages that also include surprise mementos from stores in London that have the Royal licences.
