Celebrities Choose the Best and the Most Luxurious Hotels When They Travel

Maintaining the lifestyle of a celebrity is not easy. Your every move is being watched by the paparazzi. Celebrity homes often feature in magazines and they have to be careful in choosing the hotel and the suite when they travel. Even if they are personally not very fussy about these things they have to maintain a façade because one wrong move on their part becomes a topic for discussion and might affect their image. They have to make sure that they are seen to living in the midst of glitter and glamour. We checked out some of the hotels and suites which were the preferred choice of some of the A list celebrities.

The Hotel: Gansevoort Park Avenue – New York, NY
Price: Starts at $8,000.

Kim Kardashian, while filming a season of Kim and Kourtney Take New York chose to stay at the Gansevoort’s Presidential Suite. It is a bi-level penthouse spread over 2,700 square foot. Apart from floor to ceiling windows the suite boasts of an expansive terrace with city views. Other highlights are a dining area with a wet bar, a living room with a foosball table and a fireplace, bedroom with a king sized bed and a high end sound system and two bathrooms, one of which has its own steam shower and whirlpool.

 The Hotel: The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel – Orange County, CA
Price: $795 to $2,750 per night

The Ritz Carlton hotel in Orange County has been considered the best hotel in the area since it opened in 1984. The elegant retreat has had the honor of playing host to a horde of A-list celebrities including U.S. Presidents Ford, Carter, Reagan and Nixon, and celebrities such as Michael Jackson and John Travolta. The suites in the hotel have personal butler, free use of the gorgeous spa, and twice daily VIP housekeeping service. The hotel has all the top-notch amenities of a large and luxurious resort.

The Hotel: The Kahala Hotel and Resort – Oahu, HI
Price: $2,750 to 2,500 per night
Similarly the Kahala is considered the best hotel in Oahu since it opened in 1964. The celebrities love its quite setting and top-notch restaurants. Justin Timberlake, soon after his marriage had stayed in one of the suites. The Signature Suites offer the use of a reserved beach cabana, free spa treatments, free non-motorized water sports, nightly VIP turndown service, and preferential oceanfront seating at two of the hotel’s top restaurants.

The Hotel: Langham Hotel London
Price: $7,000 per night
Langham in London is a favorite with the celebrities. For Angelina Jolie it is the preferred hotel whenever she is in London. The hotel is not only luxurious but has an air of exclusivity. Its Infinity Suite is the most opulent with two bedroom and dressing rooms. The suite offers its guests access to the hotel’s Club Lounge, which serves breakfast and evening drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

The Hotel: Four Seasons Chicago
Price: $439 to $927 per night

Celebrities, including Demi Moore opt for the Four Seasons when visiting Chicago. The property’s location right on the Magnificent Mile also helps. The suites have been recently revamped in individual style by Pierre-Yves Rochon and the high end amenities include a gorgeous indoor pool with a skylight and great views, an expansive spa, and a restaurant helmed by Michelin-star Executive Chef Kevin Hickey. The suites offer spectacular lake or city views and are served by a dedicated concierge.

The Hotel: Sunset Marquis Hotel & Villas – Los Angeles, CA
Price: $425 to $725 per night

The Sunset Marquis had started off in the 1960s as a cheap motel for broke musicians. It has transformed itself with a low-key bar, spacious villas and suites with stylish décor and high-tech amenities, and a top-notch professional recording studio. It has become the see-and-be-seen spot for the celebrities from the music world. You can be sure to find a couple of rock stars in the hotel if you go visiting.

The Hotel: The Lanesborough, a St. Regis Hotel – London, UK
Price: $1,484 to $5,600

The Lanesborough is popular among the rich and the famous. It is a luxurious property overlooking Hyde Park in Knightsbridge. It is well geared up to pamper its celebrity guests with all its rooms boasting of palatial bathrooms with Carrara marble, big flat-screen TVs, and free butler service. The fine dining restaurant Apsleys is Michelin rated. The hotel also features a piano bar and offers traditional afternoon tea.
