Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 to Be Auctioned Off for Charity
The 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has been created for a charity auction which will take place on September 22nd this year by Henry Ford Health System. The snazzy automotive is designed by Melvin Betancourt. The designer serves as a representative of Ford automotive service whose passion turned into professionalism. The Edith and Benson Ford Heart & Vascular Institute will be benefitted with the proceeds of sale at Henry Ford Health System.
Melvin Betancourt, Ford designer once was a patient at the Hospital. He was assigned the task of customizing the muscle car. He felt like he was obliged to repay the hospital which had saved his life. So he made up his mind to design and auction off Ford Shelby GT500 which is one of a kind. The designer wanted to retain all the original features without compromising regarding performance, but maintain modern look. The exceptional edition will be observed for its outer paint scheme. The outer white will contrast the white graphics.
The twenty inch wheels have white finish. The interior has leather Recaro seats stitched with black thread are contrasting with each other. The alterations are done aesthetically with 662-hp. Those who visit the auction house will have a glance of 2012 Ford Focus in black with a black interior contrasting white stitching, twenty inch wheels and asymmetrical white strips.

The father of the muscle car, fastest sports cars is no more this month at his 89th year. Shelby with his versatile successful careers including safari tour operator, automotive consultant, racing team owner, race car driver and legendary car designer was a cultural and automotive icon. The credit goes to his record setting horsepower with top speed of two hundred mph. When he was suffering from grievous heart problems he won the LeMans. Though he left racing, he started designing muscle cars Mustang Shelby GT500 and Shelby Cobra.
