McLaren Introduces Merchandise Inspired by McLaren MP4-12C

McLaren invariably features in the list of most expensive cars, and has an amazing fan following, quite understandably so. But everybody cant own a McLaren car. So the British manufacturer has brought its range of McLaren merchandise to satiate those admirers who do not have millions of dollars in the bank accounts. Porsche had started the trend of selling Porsche merchandise like Porsche caps, Porsche watches and the likes. Since that trend caught on really well, even McLaren wants to cash in on that.

They have chosen the McLaren sports car MP4-12C as the inspiration. The varied range of products being introduced includes luggage, watches, clothes and leather accessories. The luggage sets have been designed with the help of the McLaren Automotive design studio.

They have tried to design the bags in such a way that they fit snugly into the 144-litre space available under the bonnet. Continuing the tradition of using high grade material, they have used carbon-fiber to craft the luggage-sets that are available in three sizes. The detailing is minimal yet sophisticated, using silver or orange stitching. For its timepieces, Frank Stephenson, the McLaren Automotive Design Director has roped in the famous luxury watch brand Tag Heuer to design their McLaren chronograph watches.

Another interesting wrist accessory is their McLaren Sport mechanical bracelet, whose design was inspired their Formula 1 race cars and has been designed by Links of London. One has to look really smart to match the style of a McLaren car, and for that their McLaren black polo shirt with a matching slim-fit Italian sports jacket and cap would help you look as good as your car. Their range of leather accessories includes card holders, black wallets and driving gloves, which are new additions to their older range of leather accessories called Ghurka for McLaren. All these products are available on the McLaren e-store.
