DMC Creates a Kit to Transform your Lamborghini Aventador to Molto Veloce Special Edition

At the very top end of the luxury car market a customer can be quite fussy about what the car looks like. There are agencies and design houses that work exclusively on the external aesthetics of a car. Let’s take the case of Lamborghini Aventador which has been launched recently. The creative agencies have jumped in to modify its aesthetics. The design of the luxury car has been inspired by Boeing. The first version with tweaked external aesthetics was called the J Aural Assault Aventador. Now there is news that there are other design houses that have joined the creative initiative. DMC, the German design house has created another avatar for the Lamborghini Aventador, by naming it the Molto Veloce special edition.

The German design house has developed a kit which includes not only some additions for the exterior but it also has additions for the standard engine of the car to enhance its performance. They have introduced some dramatic changes to the exterior of the car. The most prominent change is the carbon fiber spoiler sword and the front spoiler lip. The original design of the car exterior was quite rugged but one must admit that these frontal additions go a long way in stabilizing the luxury car. The new skirts add to the rugged look of the super car. The original design of the car could have faced aerodynamic challenges at high speeds. The new additions to the car will help it stabilize further and improve its performance at high speeds.

The changes to the engine are not that radical but an experienced driver can feel the positive difference to the overall performance of the car. The major alteration or addition is the 12 single intake throttle plates on the 12-cylinders of the engine.

The electronic load pressure control system with its new wiring circuit also gives additional power to the explosive engine. DMC is planning to make the kits available at selective retail stores but they would prefer if the owner can bring his Lamborghini to their outlet in Switzerland or Germany for refitting. ADV1 is their retail partner. The additional body components have been priced at $25,888 and additional features for the engine provided by the kit would cost you $106,215.

2012 Geneva Motor Show: Lamborghini Unveils The Stunning Lamborghini Aventador J

 Lamborghini Aventador J

Lamborghini, a name that immediately conjures up images of streamlined supercars racing down the countryside has now dropped a bombshell at the ongoing 2012 Geneva Motor Show with the introduction of the all new Lamborghini Aventador J.

This latest offering from Italy based manufacturer of luxury supercars has already gripped the attention of nearly all attendees to the event. The Aventador J has been designed an developed around the highly successful Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, however, this new model looks nothing like the original.

Powered by a 6.5 L V12 engine, same as Aventador, the Aventador J is capable of churning a massive 700 bhp, which when paired with a seven speed single clutch transmission, is capable of taking this gorgeous ride to a top speed of 186 mph.

What really makes the new Aventador J all the more appealing an strikingly difference from its predecessor, is its drop-dead gorgeous looks. The model showcased at the event is presented in a fiery red paintjob and has been extensively crafted from carbon fiber to make the car lighter and more aerodynamically efficient than the Aventador LP700-4.

The most astounding feature of the new Aventador J is the exclusion of the roof as well as the front windshield that is sure to provide an exclusive driving experience at high speeds. To ensure that the driver and the passenger are able to enjoy driving in its rawest form, Lamborghini has done away with the in-cat air conditioning and has even removed the navigation system from the Aventador J. This new Lamborghini supercar makes use of an entirely new element called, Carbonskin that has been extensively used in the interiors of the car and carries properties that effectively reduces the weight of the car considerably.

Now, if you wish to grab the Lamborghini Aventador J for yourself, then I’m afraid that’s not going to happen. This marvelous new Lamborghini model has been designed as a one-off example and the superb supercar has already been scooped up by an anonymous buyer for a staggering $2.75 million.

Monte-Carlo Beach Club’s Abu Dhabi Property Welcomes Members

All eyes are on the Middle East these days. Even the Monte-Carlo Beach Club has finally moved out of Monaco to establish its first international property. The location of the latest Monte-Carlo SBM luxury property is the island of Sadiyat. The area’s stunning natural beauty is one of the prime factors that encouraged the company to head to Abu Dhabi.

Prices are expectedly high at this luxury beach club. The current annual membership fee is $9,258. The large sum notwithstanding, Monte-Carlo Beach Club expects to collect membership fees of over $14 million by 2014.

When the Abu Dhabi beach property was first launched, there were few takers because of the raging heat. Once the weather improves by November, general manager Patrick Nayrolles expects more memberships to start rolling in.

The beach club covers an expansive space of 39,500 square meters. The stunning beach is one of the prime attractions at this luxury property. A second highlight is the swimming pool that is located amid landscaped grounds. Eight luxury cabanas add to the experience at this beach-facing swimming pool. There is a separate low deep pool to keep your children entertained.

In addition to the pool cabanas are 21 garden and dune cabanas. There are private beachfront bungalows as well The beach club also houses a luxury spa, which offers a range of different treatments while providing access to a Jacuzzi, a stem room and a plunge pool.

The beach club in Sadiyat is home to four beverage outlets including two signature properties, the Sea Lounge and Le Deck. There are restaurants and outdoor event space as well.

A 1990 Chrysler LeBaron on eBay is Attention Seeking Different Car

The stress, while designing this car, must have been on being different. No doubt it is different than anything you might have seen before but that doesn’t make it better necessarily. It is a customized 1990 Chrysler LeBaron and is currently up for sale on eBay. The design seems to be more of a cut and paste job than an original design. It seems to be a random mix of bits and pieces from numerous eras and styles. But unfortunately what emerges in the end is neither attractive nor impressive.

Our point of view is strictly from a design perspective but it could have an appeal for those who like to be different just for the sake of being different. The seller of the automobile has positioned it on eBay as a head-turning advertising vehicle, parade car, custom collectible, or just a conversation piece for the auto shows. And they are right to the extent that it is capable of attracting attention because of its ungainly and unusual looks.

The bright red paint scheme, the chrome moldings and wheels all aim to attract attention and turn heads of onlookers. It is a brash car with a lot of attitude. The pricing of the car is not just reasonable but outright low at just $7,995. That is not a high price to pay for being different. It is human instinct to seek attention and the easiest way to get it is by being different. You would be surprised to know the extent people go to in order to appear different. This Chrysler LeBaron is a simple example.

Mega Mansion in Dallas to go for Auction with a Reserve Price of $10.3 Million

Mega Mansion in Dallas to go for Auction with a Reserve Price of $10.3 Million
The strength of the real estate market will be on test again as Champ d’Or, a mega mansion in the Dallas suburbs of Texas heads for auction later this month in the hope of getting a buyer. The mansion is practically an amenity laden wonderland and has been looking for a buyer off and on since 2003 since it was completed. It has been listed several times at different price points. During the housing boom, the asking price had gone up to as much as $72 million making it one of the most expensive properties on sale. However the price had dropped over 50% to reach $35 million last year.

The reserve price or the starting bid for the mansion has been fixed at $10.3 million which is rather low for the mansion which cost $46 million to construct. Located in Hickory Creek, a small town about 45 minutes north of Dallas, the mansion has been fashioned after the Vaux-le-Vicomte in Paris. It is an elaborate chateau built by Nicholas Fouquet, the French finance minister of Louis XIV. Champs d’Or, owned by Shirley Goldfield and her husband Alan Goldfield was built over five years.

It is an opulent fantasy land and a palatial home that features six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, eight powder rooms, three kitchens a two-story mahogany library, a Versailles-inspired ballroom, a conservatory, a theater room with opera box-style seating, and a wine cellar. Every room has been designed to stand out on its own.
The master suite boasts of a steam room, a hair salon, an exercise room, an Lalique glass door-enclosed indoor lap pool, and a two-story pink and black “hers” closet. There are also staff quarters and a commercial-grade laundry room. The buyer at the auction also has the option of taking up an additional 37-acre parcel of commercial land next to the estate.
