New 3G iPhone in Black and White Diamonds

Image
When the “rubies on phone” 3G iPhone was launched, people like me were happy to look at it from a distance. I say it because I cannot handle too feminine look of the handset, does not gel well with the way I carry myself. If you have been reading my posts, you would have guessed that my personality is that I prefer subtle to loud, under stated to gaudy. The new black and white diamond 3G iPhone is something that I would love to carry with me even if I am going to a corporate meet or to attend my grand uncle’s funeral! Sorry to use the expression but it really bugs me every time my sister takes the SIM out of her ruby phone and inserts in some appropriate handset, whenever we have to go for some mourning. I certainly do not mind paying 3599 ($6,500) for this little useful device! Via ContinentalMobiles

MJ’s Clothes Line Launched By Designer Friend Christian Audigier

Image
Michael Jackson was indeed planning for a huge comeback for himself. But unfortunately, as we saw, life doesn’t necessarily go the way we planned it. Now we are hearing that the pop legend was involved in talks with famous designer Christian Audigier to start a collection of his own. But his sudden death left things mid-way and now his designer friend has decided to make his dream come true. Apparently, MJ was able to design 100 patterns that included a pair of rhinestone socks and a rhinestone glove. He had been working on these with Audigier ever since 2007. Plans were to launch it with Jackson’s ‘this is it’ comeback tour. The clothing line was recently unveiled. All of the designs are Michael Jackson originals. Now, the pop star’s fashion sense wasn’t a huge hit really but then the fans are doing anything to keep his spirit alive. The clothes would be the next step to that end. Via designboom

Anonymous Bidder Takes Home a Scarf for $4.8 Million

Image
Can you imagine paying a whopping $4.8 million for a mere scarf ? At a recent auction at the Christie’s in London a simple looking scarf fetched that incredible price. The scarf that looks simple isn’t all that simple as it is actually a piece of fine art.   It is actually an original print of Matisse entitled Oceanie La Mer.   It is claimed that the artwork was inspired by the artists visit to Tahiti in 1940. This precious scarf was created through the initiative of Zika Ascher, founder of well-known scarf brand Ascher London. Zika Ascher had an interesting idea and to turn it into reality he travelled to Paris in 1946 to convince the legendary French artists Pablo Picasso, Henry Moore and Henri Matisse to design this piece of luxury. The design was created and the scarves were released in a limited edition with only 30 pieces produced ever. The scarf used to adorn the wall of the artist’s studio. The auction and the price it fetched there has made it the cla...

Yachts | Get An Agouti Yacht If You Feel The Need For Speed

Image
The fans of speed in water must try their hands at an Agouti yacht. Just do it once, and you will know just what you have been missing out on. Well, each of these have been crafted from solid wood and measure up to 20 to 40 meters in length.  As a matter of fact, the Agouti Yachts are quite proud of their traditional boat building methods that seamlessly absorb the modern technologies as well. And all the credit for it goes to the two visionary brothers- Michael and Andreas Grieger. By the way, it took 50,000 hours of handwork on 40 cubic meters of mahogany, 50 cubic meters of cedar wooord, 650 square meters and two tons of carbon-epoxy resin to make their most recent and spectacular 20 m yacht. This one draws its strength from a two 10-cylinder MAN diesel engines that have more than 2,200 bhp. In other words, Agouti can go real fast, to the effect of 32 knots. However, the ambitious designers are aiming to increase the capacity such that the max speed can be 50 kn...

Image
Apple is no newbie when it comes to turning the world pink. Even though the Apple iPhones have been advertised to the point of making them as common as cotton candy, it seems that Apple still has some surprises in store for us. Turning pink this month is the Apple iPhone. Introduced by UK based Stuart Hughes , the iPhone 3GS Diamond is a sight to behold. Simplistic and beautiful beyond compare, the 3GS Diamond is obviously directed at the lovely ladies but its sheer attractiveness will make it quite appealing for some men as well. Made of 18c solid, the iPhone has a replacement rear plate and bezel made from rose gold of about 150gms. The phone is further adorned with girl’s best friend; 53 pink diamonds shimmer in the Apple logo set in rose gold. The iPhone hype may be more than one can stand but even though no other specifications of the phone are given, it certainly looks like a sure seller. The iPhone 3GS Diamond is set to be released later this week and will cost a...
