Caravisio concept camper

Image
German manufacturer Knaus Tabbert decided we needed to rethink the traditional camper design. The result is the Caravisio, a yacht-like design that Tabbert calls “the caravan of the future.” The Caravisio was built for superior aerodynamic performance with its V-shapped design. Inside, the front bedroom (with two single beds, which can be combined into one double bed) offers a large panoramic window. The bathroom is fuller and more spacious and high tech than traditional camper bathrooms. An intelligent water management system controls water usage with the help of its own touchscreen. The entire camper is wired for the latest technology, including a finger scanner that locks and unlocks the Caravisio’s doors. In the back, the interior opens to a fold out deck. At this time, Tabbert doesn’t have a production plan for the Caravisio, but his project certainly is a harbinger to future luxury campers. By Matthew Breen

Custom Made Pool Covers by Tiki Concept are Decorative and Protective

Image
Maintaining a swimming pool in your backyard, even if it is a gold swimming pool, is a monumental task in these windy months as dry leaves and twigs keep flying around all over. An uncovered and unprotected pool, if it is not a living room swimming pool, can soon become a pond full leaves twigs and debris. To take care of this problem Tiki Concept has developed and designed some unique pool covers. These covers are unique because they are decorative and offer you the choice of personalization. Once you cover your pool with the Tiki Concept cover it transforms your pool into a large table in the garden. The prints on the cover make them look like a large canvas with the painting of your choice on it. But above all it covers your pool well and protects it effectively from the elements in your backyard. At the same time it becomes a statement of your sense of design. The fallen leaves in this season decompose quickly leading to a spread of germs and it is important that you protect and...

Covini Unveils the Six Wheeled C6W Super Car at Bologna

Image
We have been waiting over six years for the six wheeled super car. There was a lot of buzz in 2004 about the car when it was decided to give the concept a concrete shape. Over the years enthusiasts had become apprehensive that the car might not see the road after all. But finally the Italian sports car builder Covini Engineering in collaboration with PMT SpA has unveiled the production version of the six-wheeled Covini C6W Supercar at the Racing Professional Motor Show in Bologna. Tyrell P34 Formula One car of the seventies was the inspiration behind the new Covini. Tyrell was the first F1 development to explore the possibility of having four front wheels. If only a rule change had not come in the way it would have led the world to a new set of engineering solutions. It was way back in the World Fair in 1963 that a landmark Ford concept car had put forward in detail the rationale of four front wheels. The specifications surprisingly have remained more or less the same e...

Yachts | Get An Agouti Yacht If You Feel The Need For Speed

Image
The fans of speed in water must try their hands at an Agouti yacht. Just do it once, and you will know just what you have been missing out on. Well, each of these have been crafted from solid wood and measure up to 20 to 40 meters in length.  As a matter of fact, the Agouti Yachts are quite proud of their traditional boat building methods that seamlessly absorb the modern technologies as well. And all the credit for it goes to the two visionary brothers- Michael and Andreas Grieger. By the way, it took 50,000 hours of handwork on 40 cubic meters of mahogany, 50 cubic meters of cedar wooord, 650 square meters and two tons of carbon-epoxy resin to make their most recent and spectacular 20 m yacht. This one draws its strength from a two 10-cylinder MAN diesel engines that have more than 2,200 bhp. In other words, Agouti can go real fast, to the effect of 32 knots. However, the ambitious designers are aiming to increase the capacity such that the max speed can be 50 kn...

Soneva Kiri by Six Senses Launches Treepod Dining in Thai Jungle

Image
Designer Louis Thompson must be given all the credit for creating the most unique dining experience. I am talking about the Treepod dining. It has been launched by Soneva Kiri of Six Senses and it is definitely the most spectacular way to enjoy a meal in the canopy of the Thai jungle. You can really enjoy the jungle while having a meal. Guests board a ‘bird’s nest’ at ground level, fasten their seatbelts and are hoisted 16 feet into native, massang trees. Even conceiving this idea seems to be a bit wild but actually executing it needs a lot of conviction and self belief. The Treepod can seat for up to four diners and the waiter gets to and fro via a zip line. Since you are right in the middle of a jungle the menu also has a jugle theme like Canapés in the Canopy, Forager’s Basket, Woodland Offerings and such like. The best part of this eco friendly initiative is that the whole paraphernalia has been built without any bolts or attachments into the actual trees. From design to final...
