Mega Mansion in Dallas to go for Auction with a Reserve Price of $10.3 Million The strength of the real estate market will be on test again as Champ d’Or, a mega mansion in the Dallas suburbs of Texas heads for auction later this month in the hope of getting a buyer. The mansion is practically an amenity laden wonderland and has been looking for a buyer off and on since 2003 since it was completed. It has been listed several times at different price points. During the housing boom, the asking price had gone up to as much as $72 million making it one of the most expensive properties on sale. However the price had dropped over 50% to reach $35 million last year. The reserve price or the starting bid for the mansion has been fixed at $10.3 million which is rather low for the mansion which cost $46 million to construct.
